Design Advantage – Fire Sprinkler Systems and the International Building Code
This is a one day event that will be relevant for code officials, architects, engineers, contractors and layout technicians.
The program topics will include:
- 2018 – 2021 International Building Code (IBC) fire sprinkler requirements.
- Building design trade-ups and flexibility provided in the IBC for all building types and uses when fire sprinklers are installed.
- Review of additional IBC Chapter 9 fire protection requirements with relevant NFPA standards (13, 13R and 13D).
- Review of water supply considerations, open corridor protection, types of fire protections systems and where they are required by the IBC.
- Attendees will learn how to use the NFSA Fire Sprinkler Guide to quickly identify code requirements and the 125+ trade-ups that fire sprinklers provide.
